The first greenhouses for cultivating quality crops have been realized within the Tezza Special School for hearing-impaired children in Karungu. Together with a huge nutritional support, the greenhouses will be useful to start a food education program for all the members of the school, who will be actively engaged in the cultivating process. The surplus will be sold to the local community and the income will be a financial support for the children but also a sustainability source for the school itself.
Two water tanks have been recently installed to harvest rainwater and store pumped water from the lake Victoria. In this way, children will have enough cleaning water and will live in a healthier environment, foundamental to reduce the risk of contracting Covid-19 or other diseases.
