Tabaka Mission Hospital is a non-profit health organisation with 250 beds and many outpatient services. On average, there are 9.000 admissions per year,1.300 of which in the pediatric ward. The number of women in labor who come to the hospital is constantly increasing and newborn children often need specific treatments to survive. In Kenya, about 35.000 newborn children die every year for lack of adequate health-care assistance.
