The news of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck south-eastern Turkey and northern Syria in the middle of the night, is dated February 6th. It’s a fight against time for the rescuers, who are risking their own lives trying to save those who are still in the rubble. As time goes by, however, hopes fade. According to this morning’s news from ANSA, more than 16.000 people were confirmed dead, a number expected to grow in the coming hours.
ProSa Foundation, together with its partners AMU – Azione Per Un Mondo Unito and Seeds of Hope – is working to help Syria, the country which is receiving less support between the two.
Our intervention will be focused on the distribution of basic necessities (food, water, medicines…) and emergency goods, in the Syrian cities of Aleppo, Latakia, Hama and in the Turkish province of Iskenderun.
In this emergency, we are there. Support us.
